West Riding Gas Lamp Posts
Over the years, many of our front yard gas lamp posts have deteriorated at the base and are now falling over. If you want to remove your lamp post or replace it, be sure to call Washington Gas (800-752-7520) first. There is an active gas line inside the post and Washington Gas must come to your home to disconnect the gas line.
West Riding Neighborhood Crime Watch
West Riding is a safe community to live in my opinion. However, like all communities, there is the possibility of criminal activity. Like the rest of Montgomery County, our community has a problem with theft from vehicles. There is no pattern as to when the thieves will strike, so it is important to lock your vehicles every night. In addition, please remove all items of value, especially if they can be seen through the windows. If your car is entered and items stolen, please call the Montgomery County Police Non-Emergency phone number and file a report. The Non-Emergency phone number is 301-279-8000.
